Teachers' Gifts or Stampin' Up to the Rescue

On Saturday night I held a workshop at my house and we made Christmas tags. I ended up with quite a few of them so I decided to give them to the kids' teachers as Christmas presents! I made the little boxes using the same die that cuts the tags (the Two Tags die from Stampin' Up). I found the tutorial here. Handmade, lovely and useful - what more could a teacher ask for?

A lady I met at the CMRI Markets was looking for a writing set to give as a present. It is very sad that letter writing is becoming less common, she was having a hard time finding a nice set. So, I made this for her.

15 sheets of paper with a flourish in Pool Party, and matching envelopes.

Merry Christmas!

A Busy Few Weeks

Well it has been a busy few weeks for Paper Kitchen.  First it was off to the Muddi Boutique Markets for the first time.  And aren't we please we did.  We had a fabulous time meeting new customers and sharing what we love.  Here is some pics of our stall.

Then it was to The Rock Progress Association Markets.  Another lovely day with spectacular weather.

Now it is time to sit back and reflect before we begin preparation for the Muddi Markets in Corowa on October 30th.  Very Exciting!!

The Rock Markets 29 March 2011

After a brisk 8am start, the sun broke through the trees to provide a beautiful day for the first quarterly The Rock Progress Association Markets.  It was a magnificent day and the town came alive with lots of people viewing the 40 plus stalls.

Here is a peak at some of the new items we had on the stall for this market...

We are looking forward to the next market on 28 August 2011.

Overdale to Albury

Today you'll find Megan with our cards and gifts at the very first Sweet Blossoms Boutique Market. I love the name, I hope it goes really well. This was us last weekend at the Overdale Markets at Roseleigh Manor, just out of Wagga.

We have started to make Mother's Day cards. If you can't get to a market, just send us an email and we can make one for you!

A lady from Sydney was at Roseleigh Manor and liked this card but wanted a few things to be different to suit the person she wanted to give it to.

So, we made her this card.

Dark cards look something like this inside.

Don't forget that while we can make cards and invitations to your specifications, we can also hold workshops so you can make them yourselves! Just send us an email to find out more.

Sunny Bolong Farms

We have just had two lovely days at Bolong Farms. Bolong Farms are not far from Wagga and hold open days with additional market stall at various times during the year. This weekend they had their bulb orders all ready to be picked up and we went along to provide some other local products :)

These pinwheel are very sweet and unfortunately don't twirl in the wind as there was plenty of it!

We had a greater variety of cards at this market, not being child focussed. The birthday bakery set is so cute.

This clothes horse is a great way to show off the cards while keeping them from blowing away.

Absolute joy for stall holders - a café! You can see how sunny it was and why Liz and Amy came home a little pink. Curse fair skin and a harsh climate!

Next weekend will see us at home creating instead of peddling our wares. We will be at Overdale Markets at Roseleigh Manor on Sunday the 27th of March.

Baby Bazaar

We had our first market experience today! We were at the PCYC for the BaBs Baby Bazaar and enjoyed showing everyone our cards. The PCYC isn't the prettiest building but we tried to make our table look lovely..... This is Amy and Liz, conscious of the camera and chatting.

As it was a Baby Bazaar, we brought mainly baby/children related cards.

Megan, Amy and Liz have spent hours making cards over the last few weeks. Luckily it is relaxing, fun and energising - not a chore!

Over the next few days we'll be adding more photos of individual cards. We'll start with this lovely owl card that Megan made.

So cute!

Sunday 20 February 2011

Beginning

Our very first markets are coming up! Paper Kitchen will be at the BaBs Baby Bazaar on March the 5th from 9am - 12pm at the Wagga PCYC in Gurwood Street. We've been very busy making cards, here's a few of the designs we'll have on the day.

We'll have lots of baby and children's cards because it is a BaBs Bazaar but we'll have cards for grown ups too. Hope to see you there!
